Job Title: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team and oversee all financial activities across our growing portfolio.

Position Summary: The CPA will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our businesses. This includes preparing financial statements, conducting audits, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role requires a proactive approach to identify and implement financial strategies that will support our company's growth and sustainability. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balanced schedule of working both from home and from our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple startup entities within the portfolio.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with business owners and managers to optimize financial performance.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage annual audits.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a startup or small business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
