We are seeking an AD Oligonucleotide Chemist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative scientific solutions in the field of oligonucleotide chemistry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, synthesis, and characterization of oligonucleotides, including siRNA, PMOs, ASOs, and sgRNA. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a solid background in solid-phase synthesis and chemical modifications, who is passionate about advancing science and making a significant impact in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and synthesis of various types of oligonucleotides, including siRNA, PMOs, ASOs, and sgRNA.
- Utilize solid-phase synthesis techniques and perform chemical modifications to enhance oligonucleotide properties.
- Characterize and analyze oligonucleotides using various analytical techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to develop novel oligonucleotide-based therapeutics.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and developments in the field of oligonucleotide chemistry.
- Contribute to the writing of scientific reports, publications, and patent applications.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures in the laboratory.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral experience in oligonucleotide chemistry.
- Demonstrated expertise in the design, synthesis, and characterization of oligonucleotides, including siRNA, PMOs, ASOs, and sgRNA.
- Proficiency in solid-phase synthesis and chemical modifications of oligonucleotides.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with various analytical techniques such as HPLC, MS, and NMR.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- A track record of peer-reviewed publications in the field of oligonucleotide chemistry is highly desirable.
