Job Description

Synergetics is currently seeking a financial consultant (contract only) , who has five to seven years business consulting experience. This consultant will have experience with Mergers & Acquisitions. They will have worked on many M&As. They will be responsible for the analysis of financial data. They must have a finance background. They will be performing heavy analysis of data utilizing Excel (must be advanced in Excel.)

This position is a contract position , with travel to client site(s) expected. They will work with a small team and be a strong contributor. This position is hands on analysis, with the ability to explain and tell a story with data.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to understand the current state of their business and establish positive relationships that build credibility
  • Review P&L statements, balance sheets, bank reconcillations, salaries, full compensation package, assets, non salary spend, etc.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data, conduct client interviews, and visit facilities to observe operations first-hand
  • Identify and catalog problems, challenges, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop performance metrics and construct reports that effectively represent current state and desired future state
  • Develop and evaluate alternative strategies to achieve specific savings objectives
  • Create and utilize workplans to effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high sense of urgency across one or more workstreams
  • Create reports and presentations for use in communicating findings to client management and implementation teams; present “the story”
  • Work with clients to define requirements for tools, systems, and processes; recommend design improvements; then, provide implementation oversight including creating documentation, delivering training, and coaching
  • Work in a hands-on mode until potential alternatives are exhausted and future state procedural workstreams are in place, tested, and fully functioning
  • Interact with peers to foster your support network, and empower career development

Required Experience and Skills

  • 5 to 7 years of management consulting, business consulting (finance),professional services, and industry. Experience with multiple Mergers and Aquisitions is required.
  • Proven critical thinking skills in both data collection and complex analysis; ability to identify data gaps and risks, develop sound conclusions, and create implementable and sustainable recommendations for improvement
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate with project team members / clients to design and implement effective solutions to complex business problems; continuously evaluate to uncover new opportunities
  • Exemplary skills across Microsoft Office including Excel data analysis, statistical review, and modeling, and Power Bi
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to create communications that “tell the story”, and effectively deliver presentations of content in a customer-facing forum

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
  • Master’s degree preferred

Job Location

Synergetics works with clients across different locations. Travel to client sight will be required based on your assignment and contract specifications.
