At JP Insurance Group, we only write business insurance for Contractors. We provide our customers with quality service and we pride ourselves on our ability to build lasting relationships with our contractors. We are in search of a like-minded intern to join our team.

Job Summary:

A Business Insurance Intern will work directly with a Commercial Insurance Agent and assist as needed. This is a entry level, data entry position, meaning he/she must have superb typing, communication and interpersonal skills. They will learn our procedures and be able to assist with new business, endorsements and renew existing customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain a good relationship with our contractors, assist with notice of cancellations and making payments
• Assist Agent with our contractors insurance needs, including new business applications, COIs, audits and claims
• Process and send out insurance policies and endorsements to new and existing customers
• Participate in insurance related educational classes

Qualifications and Skills:

• No experience in the insurance industry needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Experience as a Customer Service Representative is a plus
