A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney to join its hybrid team in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on providing expert legal representation in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, helping clients navigate financial challenges. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent client service while staying well-versed in bankruptcy laws and regulations. Duties Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Conduct client consultations and provide tailored legal advice. Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and associated legal documents. Attend court hearings and creditor meetings on behalf of clients. Negotiate with creditors and trustees to secure favorable outcomes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bankruptcy laws, court rules, and regulatory changes. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in consumer bankruptcy law. Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy processes. Exceptional analytical, legal research, and drafting skills. Ability to manage multiple case files and meet deadlines efficiently. Compassionate and client-focused mindset. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license to practice law in California. Skills Proficiency in legal research and drafting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
