A rapidly growing venture debt firm in California is looking to bring on seasoned originators to the team. Key Responsibilities: Originate and qualify leads for venture-backed companies as potential clients. Meet with prospective clients to assess credit risk and business opportunities. Negotiate and propose financing transactions, resulting in signed agreements. Participate in due diligence and compile comprehensive reports on potential transactions. Present due diligence findings to the Investment Committee and address related queries. Maintain ongoing relationships and monitor the financial health of assigned clients. Foster new and existing relationships with venture capital firms for mutual business benefits. Participate in regular committee meetings to review credit risk and proposed financings. Manage restructuring and distressed situations for portfolio company clients. Attend industry conferences to promote the company's business. Stay updated with industry publications and trends.
