We are looking for an Esports Product Lead for our client, a leading video game developer, publisher, and esports tournament organizer. Their Esports team is focused on delivering amazing fan experiences through global events and regional competitions.
This role is focused on building the esports scene for an upcoming 2D fighting game. Given the community-run nature of the fighting game scene, this role will partner directly with those communities to supercharge the tournament experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee Esports Operations : Manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of esports initiatives, including setting goals, overseeing budgets, and delivering insightful reports on performance metrics.
Ecosystem Collaboration : Collaborate with fighting game tournament organizers, team owners, and pros.
Align Competitive and Game Experiences : Work closely with publishing and game development teams to seamlessly integrate major game moments with the competitive ecosystem.
Champion Player Recognition : Partner with content, social, and influencer teams to spotlight standout players, fostering fandom and community growth around rising superstars.
