Express Employment Professionals is hiring for an Event Center and Grounds Maintenance Seasonal Worker!

If you are a be the behind-the-scenes hero who would enjoy playing a pivotal role in maintaining the beauty of a treasured Boise event center, this is the job for you!

PAY: $17.00/Hour

SCHEDULE: Monday-Sunday

HOURS: Vary, 40 Hours/Week ** Weekend and Holiday availability required**

SEASONAL: March17th-October 25th

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Moves tables and chairs to set up events;
• Cleans windows, fixtures and restrooms and empties trash to ensuring the Event Center is clean and organized
• Prepares Event Center by cleaning and stocking supplies
• Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list;
• Performs various basic maintenance of Event Center, grounds, and public facilities;
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools;
• Maintains grounds: mows, weeds, rakes, cuts and prunes bushes, landscapes;
• Adheres to all workplace and job specific safety guidelines, and uses personal protective equipment as instructed.
• Performs general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and application of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers;
• Performs related functions as required

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of the methods, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of facilities;
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance;
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures;
• Ability to interact effectively with the co-workers and the public
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients and patrons;
• Ability to demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Ability to operate motor vehicles (including light trucks) safely

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Abilityto lift up to 40 pounds;
• Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes
• Ability to work a non-standard workweek that will include weekends and holidays
