About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director to provide essential leadership and management during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the organization's development initiatives, including both foundation and grassroots fundraising, and ensuring the continued efficiency and effectiveness of these efforts. Close collaboration with the Board of Directors is a key responsibility, particularly in the areas of financial, programmatic, and legal compliance. The role also involves managing the organization's finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, as well as supervising HR functions and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment. Applicants for the Interim Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in senior leadership roles within nonprofit organizations, with a preference for those with a focus on the arts. Strong financial acumen, proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and a proven track record in securing funding from various sources are essential qualifications. The role requires the ability to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area and to build and maintain positive relationships with government and foundation funders. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing grants and donations, and be adept at supervising staff, including providing mentorship and support.
