Lead JavaScript Developer Description

We are looking for a Lead JavaScript Developer to join our team and take ownership of building and improving our SaaS products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will play a key role in shaping our technical direction and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs to improve system stability and user experience
  • Build and optimize APIs, ensuring seamless communication between frontend and backend systems
  • Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy, ensuring best practices in coding, security, and scalability
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following industry standards and best practices
  • Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and support junior developers to foster a culture of technical excellence
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate business requirements into functional features
  • Work closely with the QA team to develop testing strategies and ensure the reliability of the software
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to drive innovation in the development process
  • Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to contribute to agile development processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of JavaScript experience (async/await, Promises, array & object methods)
  • Experience with backend development, writing/interacting with APIs, Node.js
  • Experience with at least one modern client-side JavaScript framework (React preferred, but Vue or Angular are acceptable)
  • Experience in building complex web systems successfully delivered to customers
  • Strong experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, define tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 1-3 years of professional experience, or a bootcamp/self-taught background with proven professional experience
  • B2+ English level

  • Experience working with databases
  • Ability to conduct self-sufficient testing without a QA team
  • Experience in the legal tech industry
