About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Originations to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and qualifying leads for venture-backed companies, assessing credit risk and business opportunities, and negotiating financing transactions. This role involves participating in due diligence, presenting findings to the Investment Committee, and maintaining relationships with clients and venture capital firms. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in deal sourcing, with a preference for those with experience in the venture debt space. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' experience with a focus on fostering new and existing relationships for mutual business benefits. The role also includes managing restructuring and distressed situations for portfolio company clients, attending industry conferences, and staying abreast of industry trends. The candidate will be expected to undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned, and to actively contribute to the company's growth and success in the venture debt market. A proactive and dynamic approach, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is essential.
