Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to join our team and support our client's medical facility in Bay City, MI 48706 . This is a contract position with the possibility of extension, offering a great opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Location: Bay City, MI 48706
• Schedule:
• Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Saturday rotation every 4 weeks: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Possible request to travel to the Midland site (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Pay Range: $23 - $25 per hour (based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials)
• Contract Duration: 06+ Months Possible extension based on performance and needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following established procedures.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and promote a positive image of the organization.
• Perform work independently with minimal supervision, while adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Travel between locations, as required, with minimal notice.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Experience in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, professional demeanor.
• Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and good judgment.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to adapt to various training locations, depending on trainer availability.

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
