PORTER

We are looking for dynamic, friendly, and positive team members to join our team.

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) proudly manages first-rate communities in some of the most desirable locations throughout Austin.

Our Porters are responsible for the upkeep of grounds and amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community grounds.
• Removes trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter daily.
• Prepares trash for city pick-up.
• Assists in preparing market ready units, including removing trash from vacant apartments before make-ready.
• Performs assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Assists in the cleaning of available apartments and/or models.
• Assists in troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
• Reports maintenance concerns for repairs on appropriate apartment, models, clubhouse, and/or shared areas to the Maintenance Director.
• Maintains curb appeal.
• Ensures unsafe conditions are reported and corrected in a timely manner.
• Performs all other duties as required and assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum one (1) year of full-time related experience.
• Willingness to perform all required tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to work on-call as necessary and for extended hours, including after hours and weekends, if situations arise.
• Able to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel for extended periods of time and lift over 50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• General office and workroom conditions.
• May be exposed periodically to weather elements when walking and working the property.
