Job Description

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled private-duty nurse to provide personalized care to patients in their homes or assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background and experience in various medical settings, including Level I Trauma Centers. This role requires the ability to assess patient needs, administer medications, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

*Duties*
* Monitor and record vital signs to assess patient health status.
* Administer medications as prescribed and manage medication schedules.
* Provide vent/trach or g button care as needed.
* Conduct diagnostic evaluations to determine patient conditions.
* Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home or assisted living.
* Utilize neonatal ventilators for patients requiring respiratory support.
* Perform suturing and wound care as necessary.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Educate patients and families about health management and treatment options.
* Stay informed about workers' compensation laws relevant to patient care.

*Qualifications*
* Valid nursing license in the state of Texas.
* Experience in assisted living or home health settings preferred.
* Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and discharge planning processes.
* Knowledge of vent/trach and g-button protocols is a plus.
* Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families.
