We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Production Scheduler. This position reports to the Scheduling Manager and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.
As Production Scheduler of the Pompano Beach team, you will be responsible for developing the production plan to satisfy customer demand. This will be accomplished by providing a monthly production plan consistent with current plant capacity and targeted minimum quantities. The scheduler is also responsible for determining inventory levels for finished goods, including safety stock levels, to maintain desired lead times and minimize lulls and surges in the manufacturing process. This is achieved by reviewing minimum balances, staying abreast of new business opportunities, and recognizing customer expectations and internal supply constraints. Collaboration with operations, sales, customer service, and management is critical to developing the most effective production schedules and meeting targeted business objectives.
General Responsibilities - Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute build-to
- order and build to minimum balance plans in accordance with established customer lead times.
- Responsible for ensuring that the schedule takes into consideration maintaining the appropriate levels of finished goods to meet customer demands and targeted financial objectives.
- Ensure rapid communication in response to sales commitments to customer needs.
- Ensure changes in the schedule are expedited to all departments with a strong sense of urgency.
- Develop and maintain a high level of material knowledge.
- Participate in the engineering change process.
- Communicate with purchasing/planning teams to ensure that parts are being procured to support the production schedule.
- Incorporates company vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in an operational/manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in production control.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, APICS, CPM, and certification are a plus.
- Communicate clearly using written and verbal skills, and be fluent in English.
- Detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sense of urgency and self-motivation, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and ability to problem-solve complex situations and be resourceful.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
- Must be well-versed in MRP/MPS systems.
- Data and production schedules must be generated based on input from sales, sales trends, and current orders.
- Must have experience with mixed model and broad model variety production families.
- Must demonstrate leadership abilities in coordinating manufacturing schedules with production, sales, and purchasing.
- Mastery of Excel and Word, as well as access, is a plus.
- Experience with scheduling punch presses, press brakes, and welders is a plus.
