Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Ft. Leavenworth, KS

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for SY 24-25. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts instructional programs in a manner consistent with the curricular objectives of the course
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students’ needs.
• Assess and document students’ academic and behavioral progress regularly.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including adaptive technology, to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Adhere to federal, state, and district special education regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field (required).
• Valid Kansas Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement (required).
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting (preferred).
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
